READING NOTES
Start with a verified wall survey
Have the responsible professional review the wall's condition and relevant site constraints. Include changes in height, coping details and nearby occupied areas. Resolve uncertainty about the existing structure before releasing materials against a presumed attachment arrangement.
Check every drawing interface
The reviewed layout should clearly identify straight runs, corners, terminations and gate interfaces. Procurement staff can check that each location has a component reference without developing their own installation pattern. Flag incomplete or conflicting details for the designer's decision.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Protect access and operations
Include construction access, routine site use and future inspection in the project risk review. Keep emergency routes and adjacent equipment in that discussion. Clearance requirements must come from the applicable assessment and rules; a generic distance from a product article is not a design basis.
Control changes during work
Require the contractor to follow the approved method and record deviations for review. Where delivered parts do not match the drawing, stop that affected detail for clarification. Retain accepted drawings, inspection records and the completed boundary references so maintenance teams know which arrangement was actually approved and supplied.
