READING NOTES
Establish the acceptance reference
Gather the purchase specification, approved drawing and any accepted sample information before inspecting the shipment. Confirm that the versions agree. A receiving checklist is useful only when each item points to an established requirement rather than an inspector's assumption.
Verify identity and construction
Match package labels and material documents to the supplied batches. Check the specified weave or welded construction, opening basis and wire information. Where different warp and weft requirements apply, keep them distinct instead of reporting a single ambiguous mesh description.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Inspect the supplied form
For rolls, check the agreed usable dimensions and edge condition. For cut pieces or fabricated filters, use the component drawing to review dimensions, flatness, seams and interfaces. Select representative samples according to the agreed plan, recording where each measurement was taken.
Record and resolve discrepancies
Include the instrument or method, readings, photographs and affected package references in the inspection record. Keep questionable goods identifiable while the supplier and responsible project team review the findings. Weight and package count remain useful delivery checks, but they should accompany the material and dimensional evidence required for the actual component rather than replace it.
