عدد العيون لكل وحدة طول لا يحدد وحده الفتحة الصافية أو المتانة أو التدفق. يتغير الانفتاح المتاح مع قطر السلك ولو بقي العدد نفسه.
وصف مهمة الترشيح
حدد نطاق الجسيمات المحتجزة والوسط واتجاه التدفق. ترشيح السوائل والغازات وغربلة المواد الجافة تختلف في الفتحات والشد وبناء الشبك. راجع الدعامات عند التنظيف المتكرر أو وجود فرق ضغط.
