DIRECT ANSWER

Confirm the use before the specification

Treat gate openings, corners and level changes as distinct fence details when coordinating posts, hardware and mesh terminations.

Bring the application, site conditions and delivery requirements into the decision so the quotation can be built around a real project.

READING NOTES

01

Map every transition

Label the gate openings, corners, terminal positions and changes in level on a site drawing. Separate these details from the straight fence runs in the material schedule. This helps prevent an apparently complete panel order from arriving without the correct end connections.

02

Review gate movement

Record whether each gate swings or slides, its opening direction and the required operating space. Have the gate supplier coordinate hinges, catches, stops and supporting posts with the adjacent fence. Check the finished ground profile as part of that review.

03

Match corner hardware to geometry

Provide the actual corner arrangement rather than assuming every change in direction is identical. The panel ends, clamps and post faces must work together in the selected system. For tensioned mesh, request the supplier's approved termination detail instead of carrying a straight run connection through every corner.

04

Check the assembly before dispatch

Use labelled drawings and a parts list to verify gate and corner kits. Review a representative connection where dimensions are unfamiliar. At receipt, retain the hardware labels until each location is assembled, making missing components easier to identify without opening every package indiscriminately.
