READING NOTES
Establish the boundary line
Confirm the project boundary and survey information before setting panel quantities. Mark buildings, roads, utilities and ground level changes that influence the route. Record unresolved locations so a preliminary line does not become an assumed construction instruction during procurement.
Design the gate areas
Identify routine vehicle access, equipment movements and emergency access requirements with the site's responsible team. Show the proposed openings and operating clearances on the layout. Gate locations can alter nearby post positions and panel lengths, so they should be resolved before the main material schedule is finalized.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Coordinate posts and ground details
Ask the responsible designer to review foundations, base arrangements and transitions for the actual terrain. Include corners and ends as distinct assemblies. A continuous length calculation cannot capture every post type or connection needed to complete the perimeter.
Prepare a section based supply plan
Assign identifiers to runs and junctions, then connect them to the panel, post and hardware lists. Review conflicts before production and keep the accepted drawing revision on the order. During installation, report unexpected conditions for review rather than adjusting the boundary around obstacles without a recorded decision.
