READING NOTES
Give each face a purpose
Identify the panel face that people will see or touch and any face that bears against a gasket, liner or frame. Mark these on the drawing using a consistent front view. Perforation and cutting can leave different edge conditions on opposite faces, so ask the fabricator to identify the delivered condition and proposed finishing steps rather than relying on a visual label alone.
Describe the required finish
Turning the burr side away does not remove the need to deal with hazardous or interfering edges. State the requirements for hole rims, outer cut edges and mounting holes separately. For gasket contact, assess the actual assembled interface; a smooth looking surface may still have a local projection. Agree any cleaning requirement where loose particles could reach the process or equipment.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |

| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Verify orientation after finishing
Review a finished sample under representative light and check its installation marks. Paint or other coating should not be assumed to eliminate a burr underneath. Record the approved face and edge condition with photographs and a drawing reference. Packaging labels should preserve that identity so installers can orient the panel without testing sharp edges by hand or guessing from the surface appearance.
