READING NOTES
Define what passes and what stays
Describe the grain, unwanted material and intended separation rather than giving only a target particle dimension. Record relevant variation in shape, condition and moisture through the process team. Select candidate hole shapes with the equipment specialist, then use representative material trials where the separation is sensitive. A nominal aperture is only one part of the equipment's performance.
Coordinate feed and supports
Show where material enters, its travel direction and the screen's installed angle and motion. Concentrated impact and uneven feed should be considered by the equipment designer when choosing thickness, supports and retention. Keep supporting members from unintentionally obstructing the usable field. Have the designer validate the screen assembly for its operating loads instead of assigning a carrying capacity from the sheet description.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Plan for blockage and changeover
Identify how lodged particles will be cleared and how operators inspect the screen under safe isolation procedures. Check that the panel can be removed without damaging its edges or surrounding parts. Include cleanliness and material suitability requirements appropriate to the process. Record trial conditions and accepted results so a later production problem can be compared with the original feed and cleaning assumptions.
