DIRECT ANSWER

Confirm the use before the specification

Link material records, production identity, drawing revisions and inspection results through labels that remain useful after unpacking.

Bring the application, site conditions and delivery requirements into the decision so the quotation can be built around a real project.

READING NOTES

01

Decide what must be traceable

For a project using several mesh openings or finishes, the product name alone is a weak identifier. Assign a distinct item reference to each approved specification. Link it to the relevant material batch, production lot or roll reference and inspection record. The traceability depth should follow the purchase requirements; do not imply that a generic label establishes material certification.

02

Preserve identity when splitting bundles

A delivery may be divided between storage areas, crews or installation stages. Include enough information on the packing list and smaller labels to keep pieces identifiable after the outer wrapping is discarded. Where panel marking is necessary, agree a method compatible with the finished surface. Marking that damages the coating can create a new problem while solving identification.

03

Use the record for targeted follow up

When an issue appears, record the item, batch and location before separating affected pieces. Compare the finding with inspection results and other bundles from the same production group. For repeat orders, reference the approved specification revision and review any changes in the installation. This avoids interpreting an old sales description as a complete and current manufacturing instruction.
