READING NOTES
Describe the enclosure
State whether the fence serves a sports court, temporary boundary or permanent perimeter. Identify public contact areas, gates and changes in direction. These details help the project team select a fabric and edge arrangement suitable for the intended location.
Specify the fabric clearly
List fence height, mesh opening, wire diameter, material and surface treatment. Describe the required top and bottom edge termination rather than leaving it to a catalogue image. If a coated wire is requested, clarify which diameter is being quoted and how it will be checked.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Account for the supporting system
Include posts, tensioning components and connections in the enquiry scope. End conditions and gate openings need their own details. Ask the installer or responsible designer to confirm the arrangement so that the fabric order corresponds to the actual fence layout.
Check delivery and site handling
Confirm roll dimensions, labels and protection of exposed ends. Review how the rolls will be identified and distributed along the boundary. Comparing offers on fabric alone can conceal missing hardware, so reconcile the quoted items with the approved installation schedule before placing the order.
