READING NOTES
Specify the required evidence
State the material designation and the type of supporting document required by the purchase specification. Ask how that document will be linked to the delivered panels. A certificate covering a similar grade is not enough if its material identity cannot be connected to the order. The required evidence should be agreed before cutting and perforating make the original sheet markings difficult to retain.
Preserve links during processing
Use receiving references and production records to track the parent sheet into cut parts. Where different heats or lots enter one order, keep their identities distinguishable through the agreed labeling system. If subcontract processing is involved, clarify how records will return with the components. The process should let a reviewer follow a finished item back to the relevant material information without reconstructing events from memory.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Verify documents at receipt
Compare the delivered item references, quantities and material identity with the packing list and supporting documents. Resolve missing links before accepting a generic replacement certificate. Material traceability supports investigation and specification checks; it does not by itself prove that the perforated geometry, coating or completed assembly meets every service requirement. Those characteristics need their own agreed records and acceptance evidence.
