READING NOTES
Confirm the authorised requirement
Ask the site security manager to define the boundary's purpose and whether a sharp wire product is appropriate at all. Include public access, neighbouring land and the people who maintain the perimeter. Product selection should follow that documented assessment.
Compare complete supply descriptions
Razor wire and conventional barbed wire are different product constructions. Request drawings, material descriptions, packaging units and declared supply lengths for each proposal. Similar roll photographs or prices per unit weight are insufficient for a like for like purchasing decision.

Review the existing boundary
Have the responsible professional assess compatibility with the wall or fence, supporting components and maintenance access. Obtain confirmation of applicable site rules and legal requirements. A change in product should prompt a review of the whole approved boundary detail.
Include handling and ownership
Identify who will receive, install and inspect the material, using the supplier's handling information and the contractor's risk controls. Specify protected packaging and clear product labels. Retain the approved selection and site review with the order so later replacements do not introduce a different construction merely because it is cheaper or available sooner.
