READING NOTES
Describe service in both directions
Provide the process fluid, temperature, normal flow direction and expected pressure differential. Include cleaning or reverse flow conditions. These inputs allow the equipment designer to assess the cylinder's complete service rather than selecting a mesh by filtration description alone.
Identify each layer's purpose
Show the filter layer and any support layers in a labelled section. Record the intended material and construction of each one. Ask how their arrangement is maintained during fabrication and use, especially where the assembly will be removed repeatedly for cleaning.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Detail the ends and seam
Provide the length, diameters, end rings and mating connection dimensions. Identify the specified seam construction and sealing interfaces on the drawing. A cylindrical shape that looks correct in a photograph can still fail to seat in its housing if these details remain undefined.
Agree component acceptance
Have the responsible designer set the relevant dimensional, integrity and performance checks for the application. Raw mesh information should not be treated as a finished cylinder rating. Review a representative assembly where fit is critical, then retain its accepted drawing, inspection evidence and packaging instructions for repeat production.
