READING NOTES
Define the process and obligations
Describe whether the mesh contacts product directly and identify the site's quality requirements. Food and pharmaceutical processes have distinct applications and control systems. Ask the responsible quality team to define required evidence instead of treating a stainless grade as a general hygiene approval.
Review the complete surface
Examine wire intersections, cut edges, seams and any frame or rim. Include areas that can retain product or cleaning residue. A representative fabricated sample is more useful for this review than loose cloth when the final component contains joints or enclosed edges.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Match the cleaning method
Provide the cleaning substances, temperatures, sequence and inspection method to the materials and equipment specialists. Equipment cleanability and resistance to the intended process matter alongside the nominal alloy. Confirm whether disassembly is required and whether all relevant surfaces can be reached and inspected.
Document acceptance and maintenance
Record the accepted finish, edge condition, material traceability and site approved cleaning approach. Have the quality team determine validation or qualification needs for the actual process. Include a way to identify worn or damaged mesh at replacement, helping keep later procurement aligned with the approved component and its cleaning controls.
