READING NOTES
Describe the finished edge
Overall length and width do not tell a fabricator whether to retain a continuous border wire or leave projecting cross wires. Add an edge detail for each side of the panel. State whether dimensions refer to the outermost wire tips or the retained border wire, particularly when the mesh will slide into a channel or fit behind a trim.
Reserve space for the next operation
Cutting allowance should follow the actual connection. A panel captured inside a frame needs clearance for insertion and its finished surface; a panel folded around an edge needs a different developed shape. Check the position of the nearest welded intersection so the proposed cut does not leave an unwanted loose or isolated wire end. Confirm the final geometry with a sample where access is tight.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |

| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Inspect contact areas deliberately
Identify edges that installers, operators or maintenance staff may touch. Agree the required trimming, deburring or edge enclosure and how it will be checked. Protective edging must also remain secure in service. Photograph the approved sample edge alongside its drawing detail so the batch is judged against an explicit result instead of an informal description such as smooth edges.
