READING NOTES
Lead with the intended use
Begin with a short description of what the mesh must do and where it will be installed. Identify whether the request concerns rolls, finished pieces or a complete fence system. Attach a drawing or photograph when it clarifies the task, while keeping controlling dimensions in writing.
Build a specification table
Use separate fields for material, opening, wire diameter, weave or welded construction, overall dimensions and finish. Add quantity and the unit used to price it. For customized parts, reference the approved drawing revision and note any dimensions that are still awaiting confirmation.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Include the delivery requirements
Describe packaging units, labels, unloading restrictions and the destination information needed for a comparable shipping offer. Give the required arrival window and distinguish it from a requested dispatch date. State whether samples or inspection records must be approved before production or shipment.
Make assumptions visible
Ask suppliers to identify deviations and excluded accessories in their reply. Resolve unanswered fields before comparing prices. A quotation that clearly marks an open question is easier to evaluate than one that silently substitutes its own interpretation of the product.
