READING NOTES
Identify the actual construction
Request a product drawing describing the core, tape and connection details. Do not assume that every product uses a welded connection simply because a previous order did. Record the supplier's construction description before agreeing on the evidence required for acceptance.
State the mechanical requirements
Where the approved project specification calls for wire diameter, tape thickness or tensile properties, list them with the governing reference and proposed verification method. Ask whether reported results relate to raw material or the finished product. These are different evidence categories and should remain identifiable.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Review compatibility professionally
The responsible site professional should assess the proposed product alongside its supporting system and service environment. A strong core does not, by itself, demonstrate the suitability of an entire installed boundary. Refer substitutions for review instead of accepting a visual resemblance as proof.
Make inspection traceable
Link test documents and material declarations to the batch or delivery references. Define a controlled process for reporting damaged, distorted or unidentified packages. Inspection involving exposed sharp wire should be undertaken only under the receiving team's approved handling arrangements, with questionable material kept identifiable while the supplier investigates.
