READING NOTES
Gather package information
Obtain dimensions, weights and handling points for rolls, panel stacks and accessory pallets. Confirm the destination's unloading equipment and any restrictions at the delivery point. The loading plan should be reviewed by the logistics team using actual package data rather than estimated loose product dimensions.
Arrange the sequence
Identify goods needed first and packages that must remain together. Consider how the receiving team will reach each item as the container is emptied. Keep accessory cartons linked to their panels or installation zones through clear IDs, even when their physical loading position differs.
DECISION TABLE
Confirm the parameters against the project
Start with the application, then carry the required checks into the enquiry.Swipe horizontally on mobile to view the full table| Decision area | What to assess | Confirm in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Define the actual application | Environment, function and installation |
| Specification | Confirm product and dimensions | Material, specification, quantity and tolerance |
| Delivery | Align packing and destination | Timing, packing, drawings or photos |
Review protection and securing
Have the competent loading team specify the supports, restraints and package protection appropriate to the shipment. Include corners, exposed edges and surfaces vulnerable to rubbing in that review. A tighter bundle is not automatically a better protected package if the restraint can distort the mesh.
Record the completed load
Check package numbers against the packing list and retain photographs of the loading stages. Confirm access at the doors and the agreed unloading sequence. Communicate those details to the receiver before arrival so the shipment can be opened and handled using the planned arrangements.
